I’m somewhat of a “festivaler”. I’ve been to all the big, mainstream festivals all over the world. But I was a Burner Virgin. Which means I hadn’t so far been to the best one. The one I just had to go to before I die. And what I found was sooo much more than a festival.
Copenhagen is world known for it’s cuisine. There’s a jungle of options, ranching from typical Scandinavian food to South American or even French-Japanese. And if you can’t decide, there are food market options so that you can all have different foods. And why not go to an all day brunch?
Copenhagen is a really old city with lots of history. Just walking around is like an art exhibition. It also helps that the city is sooo small, you can walk around everywhere and if you don’t like walking you can do like any other Dane, bike around. This is actually something you have to do, it belongs to the Danish culture to go by bike. But be careful! Since everyone bikes exactly everywhere, they are doing it with speed. You are more likely to get hit by a bike than a car (do they even exist?). Dos and Don’ts in Copenhagen.
South Africa has sooo many different sport and activity options. Whether you are into climbing, hiking, biking or more extreme sports such as sand boarding, wake boarding or parasailing, there is something for you to keep entertained EVERY DAY.
South Africa was probably my favorite trip ever. Why is that? Yes, I’ve seen the whitest beaches, the highest mountains and tried the best gourmet food in other places. But what South Africa has, is everything in one place. If you’ve ever though about going here, you are right, YOU HAVE TO.
My yacht week “career” started in Greece in 2013. My newly found friend Art (who I met waiting in line at Tomorrowland the year before) invited me on his boat, as a girl dropped out. I didn’t have any plans for the summer and I was bit by the travel bug, so I said yes.
When I started traveling I had no idea about what airlines to avoid and to be honest, I didn’t really care as long as the flights were cheap! After 100s of flights I’m now more selective and I’m willing to pay more for a better airline, because I know that in the end it’s soooo worth it!
When traveling as often as I do, I’ve figured out some tricks and travel hacks for packing, flights and how to get free stuff! You learn from your mistakes, right? That’s at least how it was for me. Endless over-packing and booking the wrong kind of flight ticket. So instead of you making all the mistakes I’ve done, I thought I would share my learnings on beforehand.
